Launched twenty-first June by Supercell, HayDay is one game app that has emulated FarmVille but with an added plus — it’s played with a twist of the fingers that is!
The graphics are flawlessly crisp, farm animals voices digitally convincing, and the mathematics make for good training for all in logistics.
You start with an empty plot, well almost empty, and build your farm up like an entrepreneur would their business. You sow, reap, feed, slaughter, sell at your own marché de produits frais, and compete or collaborate with peers.
The learning and retention curves are minimalist, although I’d much like to see where my farm would grow into the future.
Imagine connecting to HayDay Municipality, the ability to chat with others in an auction style wholesale setting, different levels of gameplay as one gets accustomed to the game — Retaining gamers is the next order in business, perhaps in a sequel even if in-app purchases justify the development.
A three star title, I encourage gamers to at least try HayDay, get connected to friends via the devices’ Game Control, and see where it leads you!
